Thank you for taking the time to check out the latest version of ASAP! This guide is intended to make it easier for you to find your way around the new application. Our goals for this project were to make ASAP faster and easier to use, keep that in mind as you explore.
One note: What you're about to see is a very early beta version of the application, so not everything will be working yet (our goal is to have everything working by the end of September 2018).
OK, lets go!
Our new search tool is much faster, with search results appearing as you type. Try searching for a student now. You can search by name, phone number, email address, street address, or student ID.
If you need to refine your results, click the filter icon at the top right of the search results page:
Our new navigation is organized into three sections:
- The “people” links (students and staff) are at the top.
- The “feature” links (things like classes and other events) are in the middle.
- At the bottom are links to commonly used tools like attendance and the calendar; reports; and our set up pages.
(Your navigation may look different depending on the features you have enabled in your account.)
Go ahead and click on the Classes link. See that filters icon again? You’ll find that at the top of every listings page.
Our new detail pages load much more quickly and are organized more clearly. To see more information about a particular item, click the “expand” icon at the bottom of the header:
Here you can edit any of the information you see by clicking it, entering something new, and then clicking anywhere else on the page.
With our new attendance feature (Tools > Attendance) you can take attendance for group classes or private lessons all from the same page. We’ve also added custom attendance codes for group classes, so you can create options like Tardy and Left Early:
Need to find a specific student to check their attendance? Just click the search icon and enter their name:
To see only the classes and lessons with unentered attendance, click the filters icon, then select Status > Unentered:
And if you want to take attendance while you’re away from your computer, just navigate to the same page on your phone, everything in the new ASAP is mobile-friendly!
More information will be added to this guide as additional features are added to the application. We will notify you of any future updates via email.
