Each year, prior to setting up or rolling your classes or private lessons, enter your holidays in the Admin portal. Then when you create classes, the holiday date in the class schedule will be given the status of Holiday and with private lessons, ASAP will omit those dates from private lesson schedules.
- On the Navigation menu, click Set Up, and then click Terms.
- Click the Holidays tab.
- Be sure you are on the FIRST page of Holiday listings where it says "1-10 of XX" on the bottom right when you add a new holiday. Click

- Fill in the holiday information. NOTE: Currently each holiday name must be unique in order to be saved.
- If your organization uses the Private Lessons module and you want to make private lessons available on the holiday, check the box next to the holiday in the OPEN FOR LESSONS column.
- When finished, click

NOTE: If you add a holiday AFTER classes have been created, that class date will NOT be automatically changed to Holiday and will still have the status of Active. It will need to be changed manually. And if you add the holiday AFTER sets of private lessons have been created which take place on that day, that date will NOT automatically be removed from the sets of lessons.
Edit a holiday
- On the Navigation menu, click Set Up, and then click Terms.
- Click the Holidays tab.
- Locate the holiday and click in the field you want to edit.
- Make your edit and when you click out of the field, the edit is automatically saved.
- On the Navigation menu, click Set Up, and then click Terms.
- Click the Holidays tab.
- Locate the holiday you want to delete and click on the ellipsis to the far right of the date and select Delete.
- This will delete the holiday. PLEASE NOTE: If done in ASAP 4, this will change any class dates on this date from the status of Holiday to the status of Active. If the holiday is deleted in ASAP 3, this will NOT change the status of that date in classes to Active. That will need to be done manually.
Manually add a holiday to a class schedule
If needed, you can manually add a holiday to a class schedule on the class details page.
On the class details page, click the Schedule tab, find the date you want to adjust and hover over to the far right of the date and click the ellipsis that appears and select Edit. That will open up the Edit Schedule box. There you can change the status of the date to Holiday (or Excluded or Active). Click the Save button to save.
