When you’re ready to set up your registration forms, the first thing you need to do is indicate whether you offer classes for adults, children, or both. The choice you make here will affect the language that appears on your forms.
To make this selection, go to Configure > Preferences, then scroll down the page to the Preference section (it’s the third green box from the top). Then click the Edit button at the bottom of this section.
Near the bottom of this section you’ll see a menu labeled “Classes offered for:” that looks like this:
Select the appropriate option, click the Save button, and you’re done.
There are three options for you to choose from:
1. Adult - This means that you only offer classes for adults, and ASAP will assume that the person completing the registration form will be enrolling in classes themselves.
2. Children - This means that you only offer classes for children. When you select “Children”, ASAP will assume that the person who is completing the registration form is a parent and will not be enrolling in classes themselves. At the bottom of the first page of the registration form it will ask them “Enter the names of the children you are enrolling today.”
3. Both - This means that you offer classes for both adults and children. When you select “Both”, the registration form will then prompt the individual completing the form to select whether they are going to be enrolling in a class themselves, or whether they are a parent enrolling a child in a class:
If the individual indicates that they will be taking classes, the system will display the Adult form, and if the individual indicates that they are a parent enrolling their children then the system will display the Children form and ask them for the names of their children.
