Using email tokens

Tokens help you customize your automated ASAP emails. For example, if you put the {Participant.FirstName} token in the message of the payment template, when the system sends out an email based on that template, that student's first name shows in place of the token.

NOTE: Tokens work only in ASAP's default email templates (the ones that come with your account) and only in automated emails sent out by the system. For example, when a student enrolls in a class the system automatically sends out the Payment template. In that case, the token would work. However, if you were to write an email to a student yourself the token would not work because you are triggering that email to be sent manually.
